In a Solar Charge Maximizer (SCM)  controller system,
the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar charge controller  can still be connected to
the solar panels in series located far away from the battery and MPPT solar charge controller.
While the panels in parallel, closer to the battery, have its split wire (PVs) connected to
​Solar Charge Maximizer Controller to maximize the current capacity and save on wiring cost.

Solar Charge Maximizer (SCM) controller is a type of Solar Charge Controller that maximizes the current capacity of a solar array with solar energy storage battery. It works with the MPPT solar charge controller. The high current charging capacity of a SCM is the best to be installed with Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePo4) solar energy storage battery. It works for any "Solar + Storage" systems without or without a grid, with or without a net meter. It works for a "solar + storage" system with the same nominal voltage of any solar energy storage battery.

​Currently, the only available nominal voltage is 24V. The solar panel installed in parallel shall have the same 24v nominal voltage. The solar panels connected in series may still be charging the same battery bank through a MPPT solar charge controller, and power the same DC inverter (DC load) at the same time.
