HOME PV (Solar Photovoltaic) Power Stations with LFP & HY (Hydrogen) Energy Storage Systems

PV-HY Power Station using Solar Charge Maximizing Controller system to harvest PV energy locally to charge LFP batteries and generating green hydrogen in the outdoor-rated stainless steel electrical cabinet, located outdoor, garage or indoor. It provides electrical power and hydrogen with100% green energy, without power transmission loss, to the home owner with 120VAC or 120/240 VAC electrical power backup for energy security, level 1 or level 2 EV charging, & other regular daily use, such as personnel computer etc... to save the hydro cost. The station also generates hydrogen in any remote area or your urban homes with rain, river or pond water, or tap water supply. The station includes Metal Hydride Storage Cylinders to store Hydrogen at 30 barg pressure on site. The station may be installed anywhere outdoor close to, or right below the PV array without grid-tie or net-meter requirement. It is a behind-the-meter BTM, or off-grid system.

Power Station generating 0.5 Cubic Meter per Hour of Hydrogen

The ULC rated, insulated, temperature controlled, stainless steel cabinet (72"L x 72"W x 24"D ) includes all following major components _Lab-test certified :

  1. ENERPAK 24VCN120A Solar Charge Maximizing Controller;

  2. A MPPT solar charge controller 60 amps;

  3. A transfer switch with 50 amps capacity to be coupled with grid power; (option)

  4. Lithium Iron Phosphate battery with 5.0 KWH capacit; (may be increased, if EV charging is also required);

  5. Pure sine wave off-grid inverter with 3.0 KW capacity each; ( more inverters can be added if EV charging is also required);

  6. Submersible water heater 24v 600w to maintain 30C ~ 40C at 80%~90% RH in the cabinet;

  7. Humidifier for  minimum 2 L/H of clean water supply to four PEM cells rated at 2 litres per minute of hydrogen each cell; (0.5 Cubic Meter per Hour of Hydrogen total, O2 is released)

  8. Four PEM cells rated at 2.0 L/Min. each;

  9. Three MH cylinders as buffer, MH cylinder for pressure booster, and storage cylinder; (cylinder size varies depends on order)

  10. H2 hydrogen water separator; water pumps, valves. gauges & switches;

  11. Control panel for hydrogen generating and pressure booster control, cabinet humidity and temperature controll;

  12. EV charging capacity 120Vac / 20 amps. (optional)
